We have now entered a time of endless parties, feasting and cheer known as the holidays. We constantly have to look game ready for family or friends coming into town who want to catch up or celebrate. When you’re planning parties and catching up on things at school or work, it can be hard to find a little “me” time to take care of a stress breakout or dull skin.

Here are a few tips on getting glowing skin for all of your holiday parties:

  • Hydrate – Drink water before, during and after the party. Your skin will stay hydrated despite the winter chill, and drinking lots of water helps prevent over-eating.
  • Avoid salty foods – Fill your diet with antioxidant-rich foods. Look for hors d’oeuvres with sweet potatoes, carrots, red peppers or berries like pomegranates or cranberries.
  • Get things circulating – Massage moisturizer into your skin when you apply it. This will help blood flow and help keep skin looking fresh.
  • Deal with the puffiness – If you notice puffiness in your eyes, steep and refrigerate tea bags, then apply the cool tea bags to your eyes when you wake up. Green tea or chamomile works the best.
  • Exfoliation is your friend! – Get those dead, dull flakes off your body and exfoliate one to two times a week. Use a creamy or water-based moisturizer afterward.
  • Winter Makeup – Use makeup products with light-reflecting pigments like mineral makeup to make your skin glow. Also try mixing your creamy moisturizers with a little bit of liquid bronzer.
