Show Off Your Legs with Sclerotherapy

Achieving clear skin isn’t always about tackling acne and blemishes. Sometimes, our veins can leave us feeling insecure or in discomfort. Many people suffer from spider and varicose veins, but with laser vein removal, you can stop the pain, or embarrassment, and start showing off your legs in the summer sun.

Varicose and spider veins

Varicose veins are blood vessels that swell and twist within the body. These types of large veins are more likely to develop in the legs and are seen through the skin. Spider veins are similar in that they twist and turn, but are smaller and often appear red, purple or blue. Although both types of veins are undesirable, they can be treated with many different types of laser vein removal.

Minimally invasive treatment

During sclerotherapy, a tiny needle is used to inject solution into the vein, which causes it to swell shut. Other treatments use similar procedures, and while there may be some temporary discomfort, the outcome is beautiful, comfortable skin.

Little downtime

Most patients can return to their regular activities the same day or within 24 hours. While your veins are treated, you can go about your daily routines. It is recommended that you stay out of the sun for extended periods, and sometimes, patients are encouraged to wear compression socks.

Increased confidence

Not only does sclerotherapy result in an improved cosmetic appearance, it can also help on an emotional level. Patients who undergo treatment can experience a revived self-esteem, increased confidence in showing off their legs and freedom from pain associated with varicose veins.

Do you think sclerotherapy might be right for you? Call our MediSpa today at (865) 342-5823 to set up an appointment to discuss about what options are best for you.
