Do you have your orange overalls and face paint ready? The big game is this Sunday, and your Knoxville Dermatology Group is getting pumped! We are ready for all the tailgating, cheering and all the orange mania! But before you step out in your UT gear, make sure you follow these skincare tips.

First and foremost, you should wear sunscreen every day. You are always susceptible to the sun’s rays, even if it’s an overcast day. Despite being decked out in your football best, the sun can still burn your skin through your clothes. That’s why it’s pivotal to apply sunscreen whenever you spend more than 15 minutes outside.

As we enter into fall weather, we’ll start sporting scarves and sweaters, but don’t be fooled. You should still apply sunscreen thirty minutes prior to stepping outside. You may want to consider a cream-based moisturizer to avoid flaky, dry skin. Exfoliate your face, neck and lips for a healthy glow and apply moisturizer immediately afterward.

It is important to protect your skin even in football season. So let’s get out there and support our boys in orange!
